FAQ
1. Why do I need to get an education?
It is possible to make a million without going to college, but it will be easier to make that million with a degree in your pocket. You will be able to take classes where you benefit from the experience of the masters. You will be able to test your skills in class projects. You will establish a network and be given opportunities simply because of who you know. And the reality is that many companies will require a college degree before hiring or promoting people.
2. Will my previous academic record prevent me from getting a degree?
If you don’t have the greatest of grades, don’t worry. You may not be able to enroll in one of the top ranking schools, but you can still get into an excellent school.
Furthermore, many schools look beyond academic record. They value creativity, raw talent, work experience, community involvement, and signs of a well rounded personality. It’s also possible to enroll in a smaller school, bring up your grades, and then apply to a bigger university.
3. Can you be too old to get an education?
You’re never too old. Most schools don’t have age requirements, and will even count work experience as part of the class credit. If you’re shy about your age you can take an online course or enroll in adult learning classes of universities and colleges.
4. What financial aid is available?
You can get a scholarship, a grant, or a student loan. It’s also possible to apply for a work study program where you take a lighter class load and then work at the same time.
