There is profound learning we get from reading than from any form of information we acquire via multimedia, internet, television or the radio. Reading is incomparable to any of these tools for learning. To educate is important. Literacy rate is assessed latently when examining a nation’s economic situation and general development. If this figure is significantly low the country is likely to be poor with an unstable government and corruption, prevalent. Often literacy reflects a good deal on the quality of life of its general public. Education is not gained only in school institutions. Many of the great philosophers in history have become the wisest of men by being their own teachers and with just a company of books. Of course, at the present time we cannot sanely compare ourselves to them, but if you just think about where they started and how they do it, I don’t see any reason why you can’t learn just as much or become wiser than you already are. It is all a matter of self-knowledge and self-discipline, and with a value rooted in focus. It is pragmatic that both children and adults who love reading have reasonably higher IQs than those who don’t. They are also more creative and sharp, and do better in school or in any endeavor because they can make decisions more discerning and wise.

Basically, reading is a very good habit that improves and develops vocabulary and conversational skills. It can even help you appreciate beauty in poems. For many people reading may seem uninteresting and boring. There is much wider gain one gets for his intellect by sitting alone and indulging in a good book than in any other manner of exposing oneself externally. And you don’t have to be a nerd in this case, but only trying to outsmart what you are already. After all, every action begins with our thoughts, so if you want to make good with everything you do, cultivate your mind. To educate: It does not only denote being inside a four wall and doing one’s responsibility as a learning student. There are various ways an individual can educate himself and he is free to choose what to feed his mind with. We are learning each time, therefore we can educate and be educated each time. By just reading we are advancing mental development. We are encouraging greater level of concentration. It is simply our indulgence in reading that consistently increases knowledge obtained. We are educated when we are able to recognize that we have learned something or are learning something. Make room for creative imagination as it drives education before you even know it.

Education is very important in our life, but education comes with a cost. We pay for education that’s why it has become an obstacle for those who cannot afford it. But nowadays you can still get education even if you don’t have the means, there are always other options. The government’s role to provide for or support education has a strong influence to the country itself. Education is a major factor to develop a country. Education is a key to attaining civilization. A lot of people still have low educational background because their major concern lies in getting the means for food, talk about poverty indeed. The government should know that education is one of the most powerful medium for reducing poverty and it lays the basis for economic growth. The government should realize the importance of education and must do something about it. What is civilization, which is central concern to a country’s advancement without an education for a good number of its citizens who do not have the opportunity to get educated. We all know how valuable good education is for our security. From our educational background we get a job and earn, we can raise our social status and most of all, we can get a meaningful experience. Educational experience is very vital for growth. Going through the process of education for years is no joke. You invest altogether three important matters of time, effort and money! Social status is not only seen in your bank account but most highly on your educational background.

Investment in education does not only benefit the individual but the society as a whole. Good quality of education is broad-based. It is beneficial for personal cultivation and for strengthening a nation through the creation and application of knowledge for the common good. Civilization promotes peace and security, which is extremely important. Good educational understanding shows good moral characters. However, one should put in mind that education does not substitute hard work. Good education is not restricted to a good piece of book nor to the complete facilities of an institution. Good education is better off accompanied with hard work. One’s passion to succeed must not cease at an accomplished degree for it is never a destination. Education is a continuous process, same way to life. We are ought to learn from every point in time we realized we have placed education in our life and put it to action.

Students fear in class is usually the subject which he thinks as very difficult for him. This is true. I’ve talked to many students and all of them have different opinions. My friend Jack Harmon of Nevada says his most difficult subject is Math while my friend Rothe McGiver of Switzerland also tells me she fear History because she find it very difficult to memorize historical events. Many students also fear English, Economics, Science and other school subjects.

Here are basic tips how to pass your feared and most difficult subject so that once you implement this you have to confirm the techniques are very ideal.

• Challenge yourself – While for students this is the most difficult thing to do but for my friend and math teacher Delfin Odal in the Philippines this is very effective tool to fight fear within you. If you hate math so much for instance, or any other subjects, face it head on. This was my friend’s advice. He said math was his very weak subject back in high school but he challenge himself and instead he enrolled Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BSMath). Fortunately after a year he began to realize math was only a very easy subject because you don’t have to memorize a thousand words but only a single formula.

• Schedule your study habit at midnight – This may also sound weird for learners but I found it also very effective. It was my friend who actually advised me to change my study habit back in high school. To my surprise he said at 12 midnight. Later, I realized this is very effective because during night time you are very condition to study and memorize even history subjects. In my first week I found it very weird but as months went by I became accustomed to it. The coolness and tranquil of the night will have something which can help you study so seriously. You can easily memorize the lessons taught in school maybe because you are so focused and with no disturbances.

• Just read all your lessons every day never memorize – This is another study habit which many students found very effective. I tried in high school just for curiosity and alas! Really amazing technique too. In just a week of merely reading the lessons its like stored in my memory and I can even remember which pages the topic was all about. My friend says you don’t need to memorize your lessons just read it everyday.
